Words Without Sounds!

Using their creativity and innovation, the learners who came to the completely free sessions, considered the real-world difficulty of non-verbal communication, something which some of the children who come to the Nottingham based charity live with.

The participants used their creativity to design an innovative product or solution for the future that empowers children who live with non-verbal communication, to achieve independent communication.



Footprints ran the sessions over two days, during Nottingham's half term, and the ideas, products and prototypes were just brilliant. 

We were pleased to welcome Megan from Ignite and the festival on the first day as guest judge, and she had the very hard task of deciding the winner, and on the second day, Footprints Business Support Office Amanda was given this job!

It was fantastic to welcome Becky and Scarlett to this session, who they themselves used to come to Footprints, and Scarlett communciates using eye gaze and other technology.
