We were delighted to support the residents of Thorney Meadows recently by donating £50 towards their Easter Art Competition, an event organised by the Woburn Drive residents committee.
The competition, which took place over the Easter holidays, featured two age categories - under 7s and under 16s - and invited young residents to get creative and showcase their artistic talents. The event followed the success of the previous year’s Easter Egg Hunt, which had been a firm favourite with families across the estate.
Oliver Taylor, Regional Director at Preim, said, “The art competition was a great initiative and really got residents of all ages involved. We’re always happy to support these kinds of events – and we will be displaying some of the fantastic artwork in our office!"
The Woburn Drive residents committee also plans to feature the children’s creations in the village newsletter, The Thorney Post, and is working on a wider resident newsletter to keep everyone informed about future estate updates, community events, and local news.
A huge thank you to Lucy Gray and the residents committee for their enthusiasm and hard work in creating opportunities like this for the community.
At Preim we are always on the lookout for opportunities work with and support resident groups on our estates, and we look forward to supporting more resident-led initiatives like this in the future.
